What if the chapter you’re closing is the one that unlocks your power?

Someone recently asked if I was still coaching with Optavia.

I paused, and without overthinking, I said, “Technically, I still have a business… but if you're looking for a coach who's all in, I can connect you with someone I trust.”

In that moment, I knew I was ready to let this chapter go. Not with sadness. Not with drama. Just peace.

The truth is, I haven’t actively coached through Optavia in over a year. But it wasn’t until recently that I felt fully ready to say it out loud: I’m complete with that part of my journey.

And yet, it’s impossible to talk about who I am now without acknowledging the role that chapter played.

Saying yes to my own health journey led me somewhere much deeper.
I released weight (over 100 pounds through this journey) but I also released layers of proving energy, fear, and self-protection that had been weighing me down for years.

Optavia didn’t create my power—but it helped reveal it.
It reminded me I was capable. It introduced me to coaching in a real way.
It helped me see that what I’d always done naturally—guiding, supporting, seeing people—was something I could actually own.

It was through that experience that I met my now-business partner of EmpowHER CIrcle, Nichol.

It was through that experience that so many of the roots of Unlocked & Empowered started to grow.

I found a community of incredible souls. Some I still talk to and others I let go of with love, but they are all part of my journey and I am grateful for them.

Was it the whole story? No.  But it was a huge part of the plan and I’m grateful.

Not every goodbye has to come with resentment. The integrity of that company and the people who truly are there to help others is authentic and I am so grateful for being part of a company that treats their coaches so well. Honestly I had a great experience with this “MLM” and it also helped me see that if I know my intention that is all that matters…haters gonna hate and nothing makes that hate come out more than a MLM– but why?!?! (for another time)

Sometimes it just means: thank you—and now it’s time to move on.

So I’m curious…

What part of your story has quietly shaped you more than you realized?
What chapter are you still carrying that might be ready to close?

This is your gentle invitation to check in.
To honor what’s been. To ask what’s still true.
To release what’s no longer needed to make space for what is to become.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do isn’t to start something new, it’s to lovingly, consciously say:  “I’m done with this part and that’s okay.”
