You Might Be Too Close to See the Truth
This past week, I asked ChatGPT a question I’d been avoiding:
“What blind spots am I ignoring in my business right now?”
Not gonna lie—it came in hot and it gave me a dose of my own truth-bomb medicine.
It called out some truths I didn’t want to admit. Things I’ve known deep down but kept pushing aside. Like how I sometimes over-nurture instead of boldly selling and sharing my valuable offers, or how I hide behind “refining” when I’m really just afraid to be seen more fully just to name a few. Oof.
But here’s the thing… instead of spiraling or shaming myself, I let it land.. It reminded me that even as someone who coaches other women to lead with clarity and courage—I still need people (and tools) to show me the mirrors I can’t see for myself.
We all have patterns we can’t see because we’ve lived inside them for too long.
We normalize our coping. We justify our hesitations.
We tell ourselves we’re fine when we’re actually stuck in a loop.
We call it “patience,” but it’s fear.
We call it “perfecting,” but it’s hiding.
We call it “safe,” but it’s stuck.
So I’m sharing this not because I figured it all out, but because I’m in it with you. Doing the work. Asking the hard questions. Letting myself be called out when I need to be.
If you’re feeling off or unsure right now—maybe it’s not that you’re broken. Maybe you’re just too close to something that needs light.
Ask someone you trust:
“What do you see that I might not be seeing?”
Or ask yourself:
“Where might I be playing small and calling it safety?”
Let this be your reminder:
Vulnerability isn’t weakness. It’s access to your power.
