Ever read a reflection question and think… Nope?
Have you ever sat down with a reflection question and thought… this just doesn’t fit? Sometimes it’s not that the question is wrong, but it’s just that the deeper truth is hiding underneath, waiting for you to uncover it.
That happened to me recently with a prompt I was working through on my plant medicine journey: “What part of me is still trying to prove my worth?”
At first, I wanted to dismiss it. My immediate thought was, I’m not proving anything right now. It felt like all I have been focusing on is healing that wound and I am feeling good about my progress! But when I gave myself space to sit with it, I realized that proving energy is LAYERED AF. For me, and likely many of us, it’s always underneath in some way. It’s tied to that worth wound, and for me as a Projector in Human Design, it’s especially alive in my system.
Here’s where the insight came in:
Sometimes proving shows up loud and clear. Other times, it hides underneath the feeling of not being fully seen, heard, or valued. Same thread—just different expressions.
That’s why I am learning to not force myself to answer every reflection question as-is. Instead, I layer it down until it speaks to me. For this one, the shift sounded like:
👉 Not “Where am I proving myself?”
👉 But “Where am I hoping to be recognized in the wrong places?”
That one landed.
It reminded me that growth isn’t about fitting into a framework. It’s about rewriting the question so it actually unlocks the truth YOU need to see.
Maybe that’s something you can play with this week:
What question feels off to you right now?
How could you layer it down into something that actually resonates?
Because the answers only matter when the questions feel alive for you.
This is exactly what I mean when I talk about leveraging your gifts and gaps in my signature LEAD Method.
Knowing yourself deeply enough to recognize when a question is stretching you in a powerful way, and when it’s just not aligned until you make it your own.
Here’s to asking questions and uncovering the truths that matter most to you.
