Letting Go of What No Longer Fits Could Be the Shortcut You’ve Been Waiting For

If you had asked me a few months ago—honestly, even a few weeks ago—what was next, I would’ve said, “I don’t know yet… but it feels a little overwhelming to think about.”

Growth rarely arrives wrapped up in certainty. It moves quietly, underneath the surface, while we’re letting go of what no longer fits. And if you’re not paying attention, you might miss the moment when it finally clicks.

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of releasing – outdated timelines, pressure I didn’t ask for but inflicted on myself,  internal narratives running on autopilot.

A few weeks ago—without hustle, without overthinking—two opportunities landed in my lap in the same week rooted in connections I made over the past few months organically:
✨ Teaching Yoga in the Park on the water.
✨ Leading a monthly Women’s Circle rooted in connection, healing, and truth.

They were part of a vision, but one that was a little blurry but what I realize is they came from trust. from space. from staying open instead of trying to control what was next.

What I love most isn’t the structure—it’s the soulwork.  It’s the way these offerings fit into my life, not take it over.  It’s the impact they create—and how aligned they feel in my body.

And here’s the part we don’t say out loud enough:
This didn’t happen overnight.

It happened through doing the work no one sees.
Letting go of things that once made sense but no longer served.
Clearing space—even when it felt uncomfortable.

It happened by learning not to make other people’s comments mean something about me:
“You should have [insert money or thing] by now.”
“You are always doing so many things”

Those comments? They say more about the speaker than they ever will about you.
And when you stop needing to defend your pace, you start owning your path.

The truth is, clarity doesn’t come from chasing.
It comes from choosing. Choosing to stay. To listen.
To trust that being still isn’t being stuck—it’s being available for what’s next.

So here’s what I invite you to try:
Sit down for five minutes today—no phone, no distraction.
Ask yourself,  “What am I holding onto that’s no longer aligned with where I’m going?”

Write it out. Let it move through. Then ask:
“What could I say yes to if I made space for it?”

You might be surprised what shows up when you stop trying to figure it all out… and start trusting what you already know.
