What If You’re Already Leading Your Life—But Not on Purpose?

This week, I’ve been reflecting on what it really means to lead your own life.

We talk a lot about leadership—at work, in our families, in our communities—but how often do we think about leading ourselves?

The truth is, we GET TO lead our own lives, and that’s such a beautiful gift. But sometimes, we forget. Life gets busy, and we’re so focused on serving others—whether it’s our families, our teams, or everyone in between—that we lose sight of the choices we have for ourselves.

Here’s what I want you to hear today:
You DO have choices. Even when it feels like you don’t, you do.

And when you lean into that truth, that’s when you truly start leading your own life—not by default, but by design.

That’s where my signature LEAD Method comes in. It’s the framework I use to help women reconnect with their power, redefine their priorities, and take the steps to lead their lives with intention:

L - Leverage Your Gifts & Gaps: Discover and own your unique strengths and areas for growth. Your gifts are your superpower; your gaps are opportunities.

E - Evaluate Where You Are and Where You Want to Be: Get clear on where you’re starting from and where you want to go. Clarity is everything.

A - Act: Take empowered, intentional action to move closer to your goals. It doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be a step forward.

D - Devote: Stay committed to the process by regularly checking in with yourself. Leadership isn’t a one-time decision; it’s a practice.

Leading your life doesn’t mean you’ll have it all figured out every day (because who does?), but it means you choose to show up for yourself—again and again.

You’ve got this. And remember—you’re already leading in ways you don’t even realize. Let’s make those choices intentional, powerful, and fully yours.
